Tension and Comfort

How do we translate two opposite emotions into a single piece of cloth? What is Tension? What is Comfort? The sculpture is a project to explores the idea of relative, one cannot exist without the other. Likewise, we seek and understand comfort once we have experienced tensions.
The piece is hostile to its environment, pointing outwards with spear-like points and sharp edges. The shiny surfaces reminds one of the slimy monster, uninviting and frightening.
However, as you get closer, you see colours that are inviting, going in and out of spirals that contrast with the harsh outer shell. There it is vulnerable, opening up to the world. Under the tensed skin, a comforting sight.
